This policy explains what information Techademics collects when you use techademics.ai, including the contact form and ALI, our AI assistant, and how we use and protect it. Questions? Email info@techademics.tech.
Who we are
Techademics is an education and social impact technology strategy firm headquartered at 2400 Market St. Suite #200, Philadelphia, PA 19103. We are responsible for the information described here.
What we collect
When you use the contact form:
- Your name, email address, organization (optional) and message
- The page you sent it from, your IP address and your browser type
When you chat with ALI:
- The questions you ask, ALI's answers, and the page or item you were looking at when you asked
- After your first answer, ALI asks for your name, work email and organization (optional) before continuing. We store these with your consent, together with your IP address, browser type and the conversation so far.
Automatically, on every visit:
- Standard web server logs: IP address, pages requested, browser type and time. These are kept for 30 days.
Please do not share sensitive personal information (such as government ID numbers, financial details or passwords) in the contact form or with ALI.
How we use it
- To answer your questions and follow up on your inquiry
- To route your message or conversation to the right person on our team
- To keep the site and ALI secure, prevent abuse and fix problems
- To improve ALI's answers and the information on our site
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
ALI, our AI assistant
ALI is an AI assistant and can make mistakes; please confirm anything important with our team. ALI's answers are generated by Anthropic's Claude model running on Amazon Bedrock, part of Amazon Web Services (AWS). Your questions and the relevant parts of the conversation are sent to Amazon Bedrock to generate each answer and may be processed in AWS data centers in other countries. We do not use your conversations to train AI models.
Conversations with ALI are not confidential. A member of our team may read your conversation to follow up with you, and when you share your details we email them, with the conversation so far, to our team.
Cookies
We use one cookie, ali_session, which is strictly necessary for ALI to keep your conversation together. It contains no personal information, cannot be read by scripts on the page, and expires after 30 days. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
Explainer videos on the Services page are hosted by YouTube and load only when you press play, using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. Once a video plays, YouTube's own privacy policy applies to it.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the site, under their terms:
- Amazon Web Services — hosting, data storage, backups, AI processing (Amazon Bedrock) and email delivery (Amazon SES)
- YouTube (Google) — only when you play an explainer video
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our visitors, our team or others.
How long we keep it
- Contact form messages, ALI conversations and the details you share: for as long as we need them to respond to you and follow up on your inquiry, or until you ask us to delete them
- Web server logs: 30 days
- Database backups: 30 days, after which deleted information is gone from backups too
How we protect it
The site is served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Data is stored in AWS with encryption at rest, backups are encrypted, and access is limited to the people who need it to respond to you and run the site.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, by emailing info@techademics.tech. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and you may complain to your data protection authority. We will respond within the time the law requires.
International visitors
Our team works across the United States, Canada, Botswana, Argentina, Colombia and India, and our service providers may process information in other countries. Wherever it is processed, we protect it as described in this policy.
Children
This site is intended for professionals and organizations. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has shared information with us, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the "last updated" date above. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
